Farm Inspired

Story has it, wild chickens are running around Anna Maria Island. Some people enjoy them, others not so much. With the help of locals {Team Chicken}, they have found a home for the chickens at The Wildlife.

Joe and Nancy, from Beach Style Re-cycle, came up with the idea of "have you hugged your chickn today?" All the proceeds of the t-shirts go to keeping the chickens free.

This Chicken tale will go down in history....

Nautical Vintage Photo Shoot

We always love when we're able to showcase our inner-hidden talents and just have fun with ideas, so
whenever Emily Fritz is in town we always steal her away from her hubby for a few hours.

Together, we bring our visions life.

BIG thanks to Elizabeth for the beautiful make-up artistry and our wonderful team players {the models} whom are Lofter's. Let's not forget Nancy & Joe for letting Emily and A.J. raid their fabulous store and use their rare finds.

Keeping it Green

This is the second time we've had the pleasure to work with Mike & Lizzie Thrasher. We were honored when they asked us to cater the food for their big award from the United States Green Building Council--The Platinum LEED Certification and a Net Zero Energy-- This is the highest award given to developments with the highest standards of environmentally friendly building practices. May 9th, County officials, USGBC Members and local residents gathered to celebrate at The Rosedale & Sears Cottage.

"We hope our 'show' and 'tell' project becomes recognized globally as a benchmark in sustainable working and living."- Lizzie Thrasher

Adding to "keeping it local," Kings Family Farm donated the tomatoes we used in our tarts and as well as the zucchini blooms {that were picked at noon}, which were stuffed with lavender ricotta and fried in a light locally brewed beer batter, severed at 5 p.m. to 100 guests.

The general store poured wine and made Mimosa to boot. We had our team and a few of The Cafes.
Mike Thrasher, so kind and talented, put together our Table to Farm Dinner logo.

Keep an eye out for them starting in Fall 2012 and check out SRQ's August issue as they featured us  and the cover girl, Mrs. Shelby King herself.

Let's Party & Enjoy Life

Loving life, bride Tiffany and groom Jasen, knew the perfect spot for their wedding.

Before moving out of state, the couple wanted to celebrate their unity with family and friends at a beach wedding filled with laughter, memories, and love. The ceremony was held at Anna Maria Beach with a beautiful reception by Sunrise Gardens.

Th couple's motto: "Let's Party and enjoy life."
The purple and khaki undertones made for a perfect romantic yet carefree feel as they celebrated life and love on their special day.

Tiffany's father unfortunately passed away from cancer so as a thoughtful reminder, she had a picture of him on her bouquet, representing him being there in spirit. In lieu of wedding favors, donations were made to The American Cancer Society in Loving Msemory of {Buddy Burress} by the couple.

Vision of Beauty

Couple Justin and Elise flew from New York to make their dream wedding come true.

Bride Elise, from Australia, is in theater, so she had a very clear vision of what her wedding would be like. With the help of The Loft 5 and other vendors, her vision became reality, making their special day absolutely unforgettable.

The wedding took place on the beach on Anna Maria Island and a trolly took the wedding party to the Waterfront restaurant, which Justin's cousin owns, where they shared a beautiful evening of celebrating their love with family and friends.

A special moment for groom Justin was when he and his grandfather made table numbers for the reception. It was one of those details that made their day that much more special.

Southern Charm

Hosted by her mother, Iris and her Aunt, Mesia, bride to be, Lacey Shuttleworth's bridal shower was right out of colonial times.

The setting was as if you were in old Charleston, South Carolina, with a long drive way leading up to a beautiful colonial style home. Guests were greeted by a harpist playing music picked up by the cool breeze.

A young man served refreshments as a Marc Jacob stiletto was passed around to be signed by guests.
As guests walked in the charm continued as beautiful details surrounded the home. The foyer was filled with gifts and her aunt's wedding dress was on display.

There were three tea stations with English and German tea cups. Drinks included strawberry mint water and a Champaign cocktail. Private chefs prepared food that was taken to the dinning table and displayed elegantly. Last but certainly not least there was lavender cookies with a rose water icing that blended so well into the mood of the day.

The bridal shower was a beautiful day filled with love and happiness as the bride and her close family and friends celebrated the upcoming nuptials. Guests enjoyed the southern charm of the private estate while sipping on cool refreshments and nibbling on delectable treats.
